A pair of former University of Tennessee basketball players were in action in the same venue Wednesday night.
Philadelphia outlasted the Celtics, 117-109, behind 22 points from VFL and power forward Tobias Harris at Wells Fargo Center.
Harris started and played 40 minutes. He was 9-for-17 from the floor and knocked down a 3-point shot. Harris was also a perfect 3-for-3 from the free throw line.
Harris also dished out five assists, pulled down three rebounds and posted two steals for Philadelphia, which improved to 10-5 on the season.
For Boston (9-5), former Volunteer star power forward Grant Williams played 16 minutes.
He scored four points and had three rebounds. He went 1-for-3 from the floor and converted a 3-point shot. He made both of his foul shots.
Meanwhile in Indianapolis, Dallas defeated Indiana 124-112. Former Vol Josh Richardson did not play and has now missed six consecutive games due to COVID-19 concerns.
In Minnesota, Orlando edged the Timberwolves 97-96, but former Vol Jordan Bone, a two-way player for the Magic, did not play.
