One former University of Tennessee basketball player saw action in the NBA Friday night and his team was victorious at home.
Tobias Harris posted a double-double as the Philadelphia 76ers outlasted Chicago, 112-105, at Wells Fargo Center.
Harris started and played 37 minutes for the 76ers, who improved to 20-10 with the victory.
He scored 22 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. Harris also had seven assists against the Bulls (12-16).
The former Vol was 9-for-16 from the field and made a 3-pointer. He was 3-for-4 from the free throw line.
Meanwhile in Boston, the Celtics defeated the Atlanta Hawks 121-109. Former Vol Grant Williams did not play due to a coach’s decision. Boston is 16-14 this season.
Williams was a first-round draft pick in 2019. He left Tennessee after his junior year and was a two-time Southeastern Conference Player of the Year.
