Josh Richardson was the only former University of Tennessee basketball player in action in the NBA Wednesday night.
The former Volunteer, now a guard for the Dallas Mavericks, helped his team notch a comeback victory over Atlanta at American Airlines Arena.
Richardson, who is in his first year with the Mavericks, scored 10 points in Dallas’ 118-117 victory over Atlanta.
Dallas erased a 62-52 halftime deficit en route to victory against the Hawks (11-13).
Richardson, who had previous NBA stints with Miami and the 76ers before landing in Dallas this season, started and played 29 minutes. He also dished out five assists and pulled down two rebounds for the Mavericks (12-14).
Richardson went 3-for-8 from the floor and made a pair of 3-pointers. He was also 2-for-2 from the free throw line.
