Former Vols in the NBA: Dec. 17 recap

Recapping former Vols’ performances in the NBA Friday.

Two former University of Tennessee basketball players competed in the NBA Friday. Another was inactive as he has entered the league’s health and safety protocols.

In Boston, the Celtics fell to Golden State, 111-107, at TD Garden.

Josh Richardson returned from health and safety protocols and had 15 points, two rebounds, one block and one steal against the Warriors.

He played 35 minutes and went 4-for-10 from the floor and 4-for-7 from beyond the 3-point arc. Richardson was 3-for-4 from the free throw line.

His teammate Grant Williams entered health and safety protocols along with Boston’s Al Horford, a former Florida star.

In Sacramento, Memphis defeated the Kings, 124-105, at Golden 1 Center. Rookie Yves Pons played two minutes for the Grizzlies and did not record stats.
