Former Vols in the NBA: Dec. 13 recap

How former Vols fared in the NBA Monday.

Four former University of Tennessee basketball players competed in the NBA Monday. Two others were inactive.

In Boston, the Celtics defeated Milwaukee, 117-103, at TD Garden.

Grant Williams came off the bench for Boston and played 29 minutes. He had 17 points, seven rebounds and one assist.

Williams was 5-for-7 from the field with all of his shots coming from beyond the 3-point arc. He was 2-for-2 from the free throw line.

Josh Richardson was inactive for the Celtics as he remains in the league’s health and safety protocols.

In Memphis, the Grizzlies defeated Philadelphia, 126-91, at FedEx Forum.

Tobias Harris started at forward for the 76ers. He played 25 minutes and had 12 points, two rebounds, two assists and one block.

Harris was 5-for-12 from the floor and 0-for-2 from beyond the 3-point arc.

Rookie Jaden Springer was inactive for the 76ers.

Yves Pons played seven minutes for Memphis. He had three points and two rebounds. Pons was 1-for-2 from the floor and 1-for-2 from beyond the 3-point arc.

In Los Angeles, the Clippers defeated Phoenix, 111-95, at Staples Center.

Rookie Keon Johnson scored two points in three minutes. He was 1-for-2 from the floor.
