Former Vols in the NBA: April 4 recap

How former Vols fared in NBA games on Sunday.

Two former University of Tennessee basketball players were in action in the NBA on Easter Sunday and their respective teams posted mixed results at home.

In Boston, the Celtics defeated Charlotte, 116-86, at TD Garden.

Celtics’ forward Grant Williams played sparingly, logging just eight minutes on the floor.

The former two-time Southeastern Conference Player of the Year dished out two assists for Boston (25-25) against the Hornets (25-24).

Meanwhile in Philadelphia, the 76ers dropped a 116-100 decision to Memphis at Wells Fargo Center.

Tobias Harris had a big game for Philadelphia (34-16) against the Grizzlies (24-23), scoring 21 points.

He started at forward and played 27 minutes, recording eight rebounds and three assists.

Harris had one blocked shot and went 8-for-14 from the floor. He was 0-for-3 from beyond the 3-point arc and 5-for-6 from the free throw line.
