One former University of Tennessee basketball player was in action Wednesday night, as another missed his third consecutive game due to injury.
In Dallas, former Volunteer Josh Richardson scored 12 points, grabbed three rebounds and dished out two assists as the Mavericks toppled Detroit, 127-117, at American Airlines Center.
Richardson, who also recorded a steal for Dallas (31-26), started and played 28 minutes. He went 4-for-9 from the field against the Pistons (18-41).
Richardson was 1-for-3 from beyond the 3-point arc and 3-for-4 from the free throw line.
Meanwhile in Philadelphia, former Vol Tobias Harris missed his third consecutive game for the 76ers due to right knee soreness.
The 76ers dropped a, 116-113, decision to Phoenix, one of the top teams in the Western Conference.
