When he was on the Vikings, Stefon Diggs shocked the Saints and the world when he evaded would-be tacklers and ran into the end zone as time expired during a divisional playoff game. The play will forever be known as the Minneapolis Miracle.
Diggs’ new team, the Bills, will play the Saints in Week 12 of the 2021 NFL season.
Inevitably, Diggs was asked about having some big games before against the Saints. The former Vikings wideout jumped in mid-question to say: “Yeah, maybe one,” according to Katherine Fitzgerald of the Buffalo News.
Diggs said he only thinks about the Minneapolis Miracle a couple of times a year now. He also said this: “I’m gonna tell my kids that one day. And they probably won’t believe me, but I’m like ‘Look, we’ve got some video of it,’” via Fitzgerald.
The Bills are 6-4 this year. Diggs has 773 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns in 2021. The Vikings traded Diggs before the 2020 season. With Justin Jefferson thriving, the trade seemingly worked out for both teams.
