Former Vikings running back Adrian Peterson makes NFL ALL-Decade team

Running back Adrian Peterson was unanimously voted into the ALL-Decade team.

Former Vikings running back Adrian Peterson started his career in Minnesota, playing most of the decade with the team. NFL.com released an ALL-Decade team, and Peterson was unanimously voted in.

Peterson was one of four running backs to make the list. He was also one of only eight players to be voted in unanimously.

Those eight, were him, quarterback Tom Brady, defensive tackle Aaron Donald, linebacker Von Miller, offensive tackle Joe Thomas, kicker Justin Tucker, defensive end J.J. Watt and offensive guard Marshal Yanda.

NFL.com said the unanimous “picks represent a who’s who of the biggest NFL stars of the last 10 years — and a pretty good preview of who’ll headline future Hall of Fame classes.” That bodes well for Peterson, in case you thought he might be a snub or something.

But looking at his stats, it’s hard to deny the hall to Peterson. He has 14,216 rushing yards and 111 rushing touchdowns. He claimed the rushing title three times, including once when he went for over 2,000 yards. Peterson will go down in history as not only one of the greatest Vikings running backs, but one of the best running backs in the entire league.
