Former Vikings offensive lineman Alex Boone announces that he is planning an NFL return

It sounds like former Minnesota Vikings guard Alex Boone is making an NFL comeback.

Alex Boone has not played in the NFL since his 2017 stint with the Cardinals, but the former Vikings guard has announced that he wants another shot.

Boone said on SKOR North that he wants to return to the NFL next season.

“It took me the weekend to really think about it, and I had a long talk with my agent, and we just went over it,” Boone said on the radio station. “Now that there’s mutual interest from both sides, I absolutely need to go back and try and do this if it’s going to be there.”

Boone has eight years of NFL experience under his belt. He played one season with the Vikings where he started 14 games. Boone said he has started eating and training already, putting on weight.

“The one thing I always regret is never winning a championship, and kind of giving up on it,” Boone said. “I don’t want to do that again.”
