It’s been a sad day around here as earlier we found out the awful news that longtime Notre Dame beat reporter Lou Somogyi died of a heart attack this weekend.
More awful news has come out of the college football world as news from USC is that former offensive lineman Chris Brown has died at just 24 years old.
Brown starred on the Trojans offensive line, playing on the Rose Bowl champion team in 2016 and Pac-12 championship team in 2017 when he was named USC’s Offensive Lineman of the Year.
Heartbroken to hear the news that we lost Chris Brown today. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Brown family. Chris meant so much to so many. Great person, player, teammate, and Trojan. God bless my friend. You are forever in our hearts.

Our friends at Trojans Wire gave a more significant writeup on the life of Brown that came to an end far too soon this early as he was just 24 years old.
Thoughts and well-wishes to our friends and family of Brown and to our friends at USC.
