Former North Carolina Tar Heels running back Elijah Green has a new home and he’s heading to the Big Ten.
On Thursday, Green took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce he has committed to a new program. Green will join the Indiana Hoosiers out of the transfer portal to begin the next step in his college football career.
Green entered the transfer portal on November 27th after spending four seasons with North Carolina. His best season with the Tar Heels came in 2022 when he rushed for 558 yards and 8 touchdowns. However, his production dipped with the return of British Brooks and the emergence of Omarion Hampton.

With a loaded backfield, it’s probably best for Green to move on to a new program and earn more playing time. Indiana provides that opportunity for him in the Big Ten.
