Former UNC guard D’Marco Dunn commits to Penn State

Former UNC basketball guard D’Marco Dunn has committed to Penn State out of the transfer portal.

Another former North Carolina Tar Heel player has found a new home.

Weeks after he left North Carolina and entered the transfer portal, former four-star recruit D’Marco Dunn has committed to Penn State. Dunn made the committed on Thursday.

Dunn joins a Penn State program that made it to the NCAA Tournament and is looking to get better. He reunites with former teammate Puff Johnson, who committed to Penn State a few months back.

After committing to North Carolina as part of the 2021 class, Dunn spent two seasons with the Tar Heels. In his role off the bench, he saw limited playing time, which was the biggest factor in him transferring.

Last season, Dunn averaged 2.7 points and 0.7 rebounds per game while playing in 10.3 minutes per game.
