A former UNC football player is back in the transfer portal after just one semester with the team.
Defensive back Storm Duck is back in the portal after one semester at Penn State according to multiple reports. The former UNC defensive back left the Tar Heels and joined Penn State in December of 2022.
But after spring practices, Duck took the opportunity to enter the portal with a new window open. It likely was based on his spot on the Nittany Lions’ depth chart after the spring.
Like his first recruitment in the portal, Duck should receive interest from programs right away.

Duck transferred to Penn State from North Carolina earlier this offseason, and he made one tackle in the Blue-White game.

The 6-foot, 190-pound defensive back spent four seasons at North Carolina and had a standout freshman season in 2019. After that, injury-plagued seasons hurt his consistency.
He opted to enter the portal after the 2022 season with a year of eligibility left.
