The North Carolina Tar Heels football program has had five players depart for the transfer portal in the new window, and all have been on the defensive side of the ball.
After defensive back Cam’Ron Kelly left after the 2022 season and committed to Virginia, he entered himself back in the transfer portal and has quickly found a new home.
The former UNC football defensive back has committed to fellow Atlantic Coast Conference program Louisville. He made the decision to join the Cardinals on Monday. The commitment came after Kelly was on Louisville’s campus this past weekend, and it was enough for him to offer that commitment to Louisville.

Kelly was originally committed to Auburn but opted to transfer before his freshman season and join UNC. He spent four seasons at North Carolina and started in 12 games a year ago.
But after the 2022 season, Kelly opted to transfer and ended up at Virginia.
He spent just one semester with the Cavaliers before deciding to transfer again.
