Former UFC and Bellator commentator Jimmy Smith is getting a full-time role on the SiriusXM airwaves.
Smith, who was long known as the primary color commentator for Bellator before a yearlong stint under the UFC banner, has seen his “Unlocking the Cage” program expanded to weekdays on SiriusXM Fight Nation channel 156.
Smith’s show will air Monday through Friday during the 1 p.m.-3 p.m. ET slot, the company announced on Thursday (via Twitter):

Smith’s expanded role with SiriusXM comes on the heels of Luke Thomas’ departure from the company to join CBS Sports in a full-time capacity.
SiriusXM program director Marissa Rivas commented on Smith’s new position (via Twitter):
I’m so excited to announce that we’re launching a daily MMA show with the great @jimmysmithmma “Unlocking the Cage”. My goal is to always provide a platform for talent that I feel needs to be heard & man, that’s Jimmy. Can not wait to start this journey on Monday!
