Julien Simon, a former Tulsa Golden Hurricane linebacker and former USC Trojan, has hit the transfer portal.
The former four-star recruit from Lincoln High in Tacoma (Washington) was the fourth-best player in the state of Washington in the 2021 recruitng class, No. 138 overall.
At USC, Simon redshirted his freshman year in 2021 and would play in only three games in 2022. During his redshirt freshman season, he did not record a single defensive stat for the Trojans.
After the conclusion of the 2022 season, Simon transferred to Tulsa, where he frequently played. With the Golden Hurricane, Simon played in all 12 games for the program, recording 58 tackles, 24 solo, 10 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two passes defended, and one recovered fumble.
At 6-2 and 231 pounds, Simon also held offers from Oregon, Washington, Arizona State, Cal, and Michigan. We will see what comes next for him in a career which, like former Trojans Kedon Slovis and J.T. Daniels, keeps bouncing from one program to another.
