Former Trojan Briton ‘Bam’ Allen transfers to Kyle Whittingham and Utah

#USC has gained incoming transfers from other Pac-12 programs. This transfer is going in the other direction, to Salt Lake City.

Kyle Whittingham and the Utah Utes have landed former USC Trojans defensive back Briton Allen.

The former Trojan, Allen comes to Utah two seasons of eligibility remaining, so the potential for him to make an impact extends beyond just this season. He’s appeared in 15 games during his four seasons with the Trojans, with an injury costing him the entire 2021 season.

Originally from the Bradenton (Florida) IMG Academy, Allen was a three-star prospect coming out of high school. He had scholarship offers from numerous Power Five programs, according to 247 Sports.

Listed by USC at 6 feet and 190 pounds, Allen was with the Trojans from 2019-2022, although he appeared in games in only the first two of those seasons because of multiple injuries.

In those two seasons he played, Allen appeared in 15 games and tallied eight tackles.

He announced in late January that he was entering the transfer portal.

Now he’ll play for another Pac-12 school.
