Former Titans HC Jeff Fisher to be inducted into Tennessee Sports HOF

Former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher will be inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame in 2020.

Former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher has been notified that he will be inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame in 2020.

Fisher received the news while appearing as a guest on The Midday 180 show on Friday.

Other 2020 inductees already announced include Tony Delk, Bettye Giles, Dick Horton and Carl Torbush. More are expected to be added at a later date, per Jim Wyatt of Titans Online.

Fisher was named the interim head coach of the Houston Oilers in 1994 and remained in that position through the franchise’s move to Tennessee, all the way through the 2010 season.

As the head coach, Fisher compiled a 142-120 overall record. He made six trips to the playoffs during his tenure, including an appearance in Super Bowl XXXIV. In total, Fisher finished with a 5-6 record in the postseason.

After his days as the Titans’ head coach, Fisher moved on to coach the Rams, where he spent five seasons, from 2012 through 2016.
