Former Texas A&M wide receiver is predicted to transfer within the SEC

While the Aggies can still retain him, wide receiver Noah Thomas could be headed to another SEC team next season

Last week, Texas A&M junior wide receiver Noah Thomas entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal after three seasons with the program; most Aggie fans were shocked, while those of us who heard a bevy of rumors saw the writing on the wall.

Coach Mike Elko and his staff added three wide receivers from the portal this offseason, including former NC State veteran KC Concepcion, who looks like the No. 1 receiving option going into the 2025 season. While Thomas would still have a role on next season’s depth chart, it would be downgraded compared to the past three seasons.

Despite leading A&M with 574 yards and eight receiving touchdowns, Thomas’ inconsistency was a glaring issue. At the same time, his height and catch radius weren’t utilized late in the season, especially during the season-finale loss to the Texas Longhorns.

However, Thomas might need a change of scenery. After visiting the Georgia Bulldogs this weekend, One’s Pete Nakos and Steve Wiltfong have submitted their predictions for Thomas to head to Athens (GA) for the 2025 season.

Even after landing former USC standout WR Zachariah Branch, Thomas’s size and red zone efficiency would finally give the Bulldogs a complete wide receiver rotation that combines speed, size, and catch rate.
