After being drafted in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL draft by the Pittsburg Steelers, former Texas A&M linebacker, Buddy Johnson bounced around the league before landing on the Dallas Cowboys practice squad last season.
He was impressive enough to be signed to a reserve/futures contract after the yeah with a chance to compete for a spot this season. During the preseason, he showed a nose for the ball and came up big a few times during the final game against the Los Angeles Chargers. This no doubt played a role in him making it through the final cuts and being placed on the Cowboys‘ 53-man roster
Johnson has always been knocked for being “undersized” and has continually proved people wrong and after the cut deadline on Tuesday, he did that again.
