After a career year that netted him a four-year $98 million deal with 75.5 million in guarantees, former Texas A&M defensive lineman Nnamdi Madubuike entered the 2024 season as an All-Pro and a lot of expectations.
It hasn’t been a disappointing season, but he’s been at the bottom of the league in some key stats for his position. He even acknowledged this recently when talking with Ryan Mink.
“I’m going to be hard on myself because I don’t want to make any excuses. I still want to get to the quarterback. I still want to stop the run. I still want to be an impact player.”
Thursday night against the Bengals he stormed back on the scene with five tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble, seven pressures, and three quarterback hits. Hopefully this is the game that gets him back on the right track for the rest of the season.
