During all the talk of free agents who could come to the Pittsburgh Steelers, James Washington‘s name never came up.
Now he’s on his way to Atlanta, with NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reporting that Washington agreed to terms with the Falcons.
Washington will reunite with his former Steelers receivers coach Ike Hilliard, who is now in the same position with the Falcons.
Washington logged 1,629 yards and 11 touchdowns on 114 catches with the Steelers from 2018 to 2021.
The #Falcons are signing veteran WR James Washington, sources say. Washington had 114 catches for 1,629 yards and 11 TDs over four years with the #Steelers (2018-21), the last two of which he was coached by Ike Hilliard, now Atlanta’s WR coach. pic.twitter.com/FvbJCTIDKq
