The #Jaguars are cutting both backup QBs Mike Glennon and Josh Dobbs, source said. A surprise. So it’s starter Gardner Minshew and backup Jake Luton from Oregon State… for now. One could return after the 53-man roster shakes out.

According to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport, the Jacksonville Jaguars are cutting former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Joshua Dobbs. Jacksonville is also releasing quarterback Mike Glennon.
Dobbs spent his first two seasons with the Steelers after being drafted in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL draft out of Tennessee. In 2018, Dobbs played well enough in the preseason to earn the backup job beating out then-rookie Mason Rudolph and forcing the Steelers to release Landry Jobes.
But the following season Rudolph assumed the No. 2 role and Dobbs was off to Jacksonville.
It is easy to second-guess the move considering how things went in 2019. And looking ahead to 2020, does anyone thing any combination of Devlin Hodges and Paxton Lynch are better than Dobbs, should he return?
Let us know in the comments if you want Dobbs back with the Steelers.
