On Thursday night the NFL kicked off the 2020 season with a matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans. Prior to the game, the two teams met at midfield to lock arms in a moment of silence for “unity.”
But the news wasn’t about the act, it was the group of fans in attendance who chose to boo during it. The exact circumstances and reasons vary depends on who you believe but according to former Pittsburgh Steelers safety, Ryan Clark, there’s only one reason. Clark said, “they’re booing because you are doing stuff for black people.”
strong allegations but in this day and age, it seems to be the norm. But the actions of Thursday night does prompt one to wonder how will Steelers fans react should they be allowed to attend games and something like this happens. Would you have a problem with Steelers players partaking in a similar gesture?
