Trent Farquhar was a stand out with Michigan State baseball, before latching on with the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Dearborn native, who started his career at Bowling Green, will be climbing up the ranks of professional baseball, as the Phillies have promoted the former Spartan to A+ ball with the Jersey Shore BlueClaws.
