Former Sixers F Jimmy Butler terrific once again, leads Heat past Lakers

Former Philadelphia 76ers forward Jimmy Butler leads the Miami Heat with another terrific performance.

The one that got away from the Philadelphia 76ers continues to haunt them. While the Sixers were swept in Round 1 of the playoffs, Jimmy Butler is leading the Miami Heat into the NBA Finals and with the team down 3-1, he delivered again.

Butler dug deep and he delivered a terrific performance of 35 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, and five steals as the Heat overcame a great game from LeBron James in a 111-108 win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Butler and the Heat are now only down 3-2 and Butler now has two triple-doubles in this series.

Not only was Butler taking the game over on the offensive end, but he also had to defend James down the stretch. On top of that, he was a leader which is something Philadelphia was truly missing all season.

Butler has been something special in these playoffs and now they are just two wins away from winning an NBA title. Even if the Heat can’t get it done, this is something that will haunt the Sixers for quite a long time. [lawrence-related id=38248,38241,38236]
