Former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Mychal Kendricks has found himself a new NFL home. The free agent has agreed to terms with a division rival, the San Francisco 49ers.
“The #49ers are making a key addition, as former #Seahawks LB Mychal Kendricks is signing a deal with SF, source said,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport tweeted Saturday night during the Seahawks loss to the Raiders. “Kendricks visited the Niners this week and now is set to join a former rival.”
Kendricks was recently sentenced to one day in jail, three years of probation, and 300 hours of community service on his 2018 guilty plea to insider trading.
While awaiting sentencing, Kendricks spent the 2018 and 2019 seasons in Seattle and most of 2020 on the Seahawks practice squad before signing with Washington late last season.
