Former Washington Redskins wideout Rashad Ross will play football in Washington again soon — but for the XFL.
Ross will suit up in the XFL for the DC Defenders, just a few miles away from the Redskins when the league’s season starts.
A 2013 undrafted free agent, Ross last popped up in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers last April. He previously spent two years with the Redskins in 2015 and 2016, at one point having a standout preseason and serving as a kick returner for the Redskins.
After fizzling out in the NFL about a year ago, Ross took a shot on the AAF with the Arizona Hotshots before that league went under.
Now, Ross is back in Washington but suiting up in a marquee role fora different league.
