Former Redskins QB Josh Johnson just lit it up in the XFL

The former Redskins QB had a massive game.

Josh Johnson was something of a fan favorite for the Washington Redskins late in a recent season.

Now he’s a fan favorite in the XFL.

Johnson, lead man for the Los Angeles Wildcats, just slammed through the DC Defenders, throwing for 278 yards and three touchdowns while hitting eight different receivers.

Johnson outdueled DC’s Cardale Jones, who tossed four interceptions on the day.

Back in 2018, Johnson started the last four games of the season after sobering injuries to Alex Smith and Colt McCoy, spurring the team to an unexpected win while some even said he deserved to be back as starter for the next season.

That didn’t happen, but it’s good to see yet another former member of the Redskins excelling in the newly revived football league.
