The Baltimore Ravens moved on from one of their key defensive pieces during the 2023 offseason, trading safety Chuck Clark to the New York Jets in exchange for late-round draft compensation. The move will free up more playing time for Kyle Hamilton, while it was supposed to give Clark a more defined role on a different team.
While the trade seemed like a good one for Clark from a fit perspective, his New York debut will have to wait. After multiple reports of the veteran suffering a serious knee injury at Jets practice, those fears were confirmed as news broke that Clark suffered a torn ACL, effectively ending his season.
Further testing confirmed that Jets’ safety Chuck Clark suffered a season-ending torn ACL during practice earlier this month, per sources. Jets signed veteran safety Adrian Amos after Clark got hurt.
