Former Penn State quarterback Beau Pribula was quickly linked to the Iowa Hawkeyes as soon as he entered the NCAA transfer portal.
On3’s Pete Nakos included Iowa alongside Missouri and UCF as one of the top three transfer portal destinations for the former Nittany Lions signal-caller.
Now, according to Hawkeye Beacon’s Eliot Clough, Pribula is visiting Iowa football on Wednesday afternoon.

Pribula’s visit to Iowa comes on the heels of a visit to Missouri per 247Sports and CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz. Zenitz reported on Wednesday morning that Pribula is also expected to visit UCF and Indiana.
Pribula initially signed with Penn State in the 2022 signing class and spent three seasons in University Park, Pa.
The 6-foot-2, 207 pound quarterback appeared in 24 games for the Nittany Lions over the past two seasons.
Pribula completed 37-of-56 passes (66.1%) for 424 yards and nine touchdowns against the lone interception. The York, Pa., native also rushed 94 times for 571 yards with 10 scores on the ground during his time with Penn State.
Pribula was an instrumental figure in Penn State’s path to both the Big Ten Championship game and the College Football Playoff.
When Penn State starter Drew Allar exited with an injury against Wisconsin on Oct. 26, Pribula directed a pair of second-half touchdown drives to help the Nittany Lions rally over the Badgers in an eventual 28-13 victory.
Pribula completed 11-of-13 passes with one touchdown and also carried six times for 28 yards in that win over Wisconsin.
Pribula is rated as the nation’s No. 12 quarterback in the transfer portal per 247Sports and as the country’s No. 91 overall talent.
Pribula was ranked as the No. 27 quarterback and as the No. 14 player in Pennsylvania in the 2022 signing class per 247Sports.
Iowa has already landed Auburn transfer quarterback Hank Brown out of the transfer portal, but the Hawkeyes want to continue adding competition and depth to a quarterback room that will also feature Brendan Sullivan and Jackson Stratton in 2025.
