The Carolina Panthers signed Lamar Jackson on the very same afternoon the Green Bay Packers signed Michael Jordan. Crazy, huh?
Jordan, the former Panthers offensive lineman, has been added to the Packers’ practice squad. The move was made official on Tuesday.
A Cincinnati native and Ohio State University product, Jordan was selected by his hometown Bengals in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL draft. He spent a pair of seasons wearing the stripes before being waived, starting in 19 of his 27 total outings.
The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder was then claimed by the Panthers at the beginning of the 2021 campaign. He went on to start in 10 of his 11 games, all from the left guard position.
Jordan’s role in Carolina would then take a hit, as he played in only 54 offensive snaps during the 2022 season. After spending a bit of time on the open market following the year, he was re-signed to a one-year deal on May 11, 2023.
He’d go on to have a rough preseason, relinquishing eight pressures (two sacks) over three contests.
