The #Browns have a new starting middle linebacker — B.J. Goodson has agreed to terms, sources tell me and @MikeGarafolo. With Christian Kirksey and Joe Schobert gone, a great fit for Goodson.

The Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns effectively swapped inside linebackers.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Browns signed former Packers linebacker B.J. Goodson, just two days after the Packers signed former Browns linebacker Christian Kirksey.
Goodson, who the Packers acquired in an August trade with the New York Giants last year, produced 37 tackles over 16 games and nine starts in 2019. He played 254 snaps but didn’t have a single tackle for loss, quarterback hit or pass breakup.
The Packers have lost both starting inside linebackers in free agency, with Goodson heading to Cleveland and Blake Martinez agreeing to a new deal with the New York Giants.
The Packers will move forward with Kirksey, Oren Burks, Ty Summers and Curtis Bolton at inside linebacker.
