Former Oklahoma TE Mark Andrews tests positive for COVID-19, per report

Former Oklahoma tight end Mark Andrews has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be inactive for the Ravens’ Tuesday night game.

Former Oklahoma tight end Mark Andrews has tested positive for COVID-19, per a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

As noted by Schefter, Andrews is a Type 1 diabetic, so he is someone who would be considered “high risk” of further complications from the virus. There was even some conversation as to him possibly opting out of the season because of this, but he said he never considered it.

Andrews has quickly risen the ranks of the elite tight ends in the NFL in his second season with Baltimore in just his third professional season. His numbers are a tad down from a year ago, but still solid as he has hauled in 38 receptions for 454 yards and six touchdowns on the year.

He now becomes one of many Ravens to test positive and will be inactive for their game Tuesday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
