Former Oklahoma star Baker Mayfield led the Cleveland Browns to a 49-38 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4 of NFL action. 

Former Oklahoma star Baker Mayfield led the Cleveland Browns to a 49-38 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4 of NFL action.

The win puts Cleveland at 3-1 on the season, and it’s the first time since 2001 the Browns have begun a season 3-1. It’s the third straight win for the Browns.

Mayfield completed 19 of 30 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns, Mayfield avoided mistakes and did not turn the ball over. It is the second straight game for Mayfield without an interception.

Once again, Cleveland was led by an outstanding running game. Starter Nick Chubb went down with a knee injury, but the Browns did not miss a beat, rushing for 307 yards and three touchdowns.

Cleveland averaged 7.7 yards per rushing attempt.

At 3-1, Cleveland is tied with Baltimore for second place in the AFC North, a half-game behind 3-0 Pittsburgh.

The Browns host the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5.
