Former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray has quickly gained respect around the NFL in just his second professional season.

After winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award last season he was receiving some preseason MVP buzz coming into the year as well as his Arizona Cardinals being looked at as dark horse contenders.

Well, the season is off to a solid start for Murray and Arizona, as they sit above .500 at 3-2 after Sunday’s win over the New York Jets with Kyler picking up the NFC Offensive Player of the Week selection in the process.

Murray went 27/37 through the air with a whopping 380 yards passing as well as a touchdown.

He also added a rushing score late in the second quarter to build on the Cardinals’ first half lead.

Next up for Murray is a trip to Arlington to face former Sooners teammate CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football.
