It’s been two days and the sports world has not stopped buzzing over Kyler Murray’s game-winning hail mary to Deandre Hopkins, and the play was so show-stopping it even had two former Sooner teammates in Murray and Buffalo’s Cody Ford engaging in some lighthearted jabs after the game.
“That was uncalled for” Ford said to Murray during a postgame reunion between the quarterback and his former offensive lineman.”Y’all was supposed to lose.”
“No we were not,” Murray replied while laughing. “I just never felt like we we were gonna lose, I ain’t gonna cap. We kicked three field goals. Y’all threw two interceptions.”
The former Sooners punctuated the friendly argument with a handshake and a hug before parting ways. Murray and Ford both played a key role in Oklahoma’s 2018 offense, one of the best offenses in school history. Murray was drafted with the first pick of the 2019 NFL draft, while Ford went 38th overall.
