According to a report from Marek Mazurek of the South Bend Tribune, former Notre Dame defensive lineman and 1988 national champion Richard Morrison is suing the school and NCAA.
The suit, which was filed in August, states Notre Dame and the NCAA recklessly disregarded information related to the medical dangers of concussions and head injuries to “protect the very profitable business of ‘amateur’ college football.”
It’s a sad story to see regardless of where the man played college football as it’s been happening nationwide for years. Here’s hoping things start to turn around a bit for Morrison after the tough hand he’s been dealt healthwise.
