Three-time NFL Pro Bowl wide receiver Dez Bryant offered some high praise for Memphis Grizzlies rookie Ja Morant on Twitter on Wednesday night.

Bryant called Morant “different” and that the guard will soon be the face of the NBA after his magnificent play throughout the 2019-20 season. Morant averaged 17.6 points, 6.9 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 59 games played and emerged as the favorite to win the NBA Rookie of the Year award.

After his play this season, Bryant even said that Morant reminds him of a mix of Allen Iverson and the late Kobe Bryant based on his array of skills on the court.

Of course, Bryant recorded three-straight seasons with at least 1,200 yards receiving with the Dallas Cowboys from 2012-2014, emerging as one of the top wideouts in the NFL during that span.

Bryant has not played since the 2017 season but has been seen periodically at various NBA games and is a noted fan of LeBron James and now, apparently, Morant, too.
