If you have any questions about whether or not Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver James Washington isn’t being utilized to the fullest, just ask another great wide receiver. Former NFL star Dez Bryant took to Twitter on Thursday night to let prospective NFL teams know if they want a great receiver, call up the Steelers because they are wasting Washington’s talent.

Keep in mind, this tweet went out well ahead of the reports that Washington has requested a trade. Washington has floundered in Pittsburgh since joining the team in 2018 via the NFL draft. Despite the fact he’s literally the NFL prototype for an elite NFL receiver, he continues to be passed over for snaps and targets.

If the Steelers take Washington’s request seriously, there will be plenty of teams lining up to add him deep speed, huge hands and physical style of play. Given Diontae Johnson’s problems with drops and JuJu Smith-Schuster’s pending free agency, losing Washington could hurt the Steelers in the long run.
