At this point, practically everyone in the NFL work is trying to speak Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers into existence. The latest is former NFL GM Mike Tannenbaum who said “the sky is the limit” if Fields could get to the Steelers with new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith.
It’s all conjecture at this point but plenty of NFL writers have speculated that the Bears plan to trade Fields in the offseason and start over at quarterback. Also, the Steelers seem to be the team most frequently speculated as Fields’ landing spot in a trade.

Fields has been inconsistent, to say the least during his tenure in Chicago. When he’s at his best, he is one of the most exciting players in the league. But inconsistency in his play and coaching has made a proper evaluation of Fields difficult. The same can be said for Steelers starting quarterback Kenny Pickett but if you look at both guys at their best, does Fields have an edge?
