The San Antonio Spurs have been the center of attention for the past few months. As soon as they won the NBA Draft Lottery and earned the right to select Victor Wembanyama, all eyes were placed on them. And now that Wembanyama is officially on the team, that attention will only continue to expand.
Wembanyama played two games at Summer League, struggling (offensively) in the first and bouncing back in the second before getting shut down by the Spurs for the remainder of the event. But while he was competing, some took the chance to give their very… interesting opinions about the 19-year-old.
Former Boston Celtic and NBA Champion “Big Baby” Glen Davis spoke about Wembanyama via Ben Golliver of The Washington Post. And while Davis admitted that Wembanyama’s length would have given him troubles, he said that he’d be too strong for the youngster.
“The length I probably would have struggled with, but the body? Tomato chest. They soft,” said Davis. “That boy looked like a little baby Bambi out there the other night, a little baby giraffe… I don’t think he could handle all this pain.”

Obviously, in his prime, Davis was a big-bodied center who battled down low, but implying that he would dominate Wembanyama certainly garnered attention, especially from Spurs fans who were quick to defend their new franchise cornerstone.
