Former NBA big man Kendrick Perkins calls out Sixers coach Brett Brown

Former NBA big man Kendrick Perkins took to Twitter to call out Philadelphia 76ers coach Brett Brown.

As the Philadelphia 76ers struggle through their dry spell, they are having a lot of criticism thrown their way. They have lost four in a row, all on the road, following an impressive Christmas Day win over the Milwaukee Bucks and there has been some tension within the Sixers.

It started with Tobias Harris being upset with the team’s tendency to play down to their opponents, then Josh Richardson claimed there wasn’t enough accountability in the locker room, and then coach Brett Brown expressed his concerns with his team’s tendency to randomly flip a switch whenever they feel like.

After a loss to the Houston Rockets on Friday, an outside voice gave his concerns as former big man Kendrick Perkins took to Twitter to call out Brown. He cited the predictability of the team’s offense as a big issue and called Brown the “elephant in the room”.

The Sixers are currently 23-14 after the disappointing 0-4 road trip and there are legitimate concerns with this team, but to act like the sky is falling is a bit premature. This team possesses wins over the Boston Celtics, the Toronto Raptors, the Bucks, the Miami Heat, and the Indiana Pacers. It isn’t like they’re completely hopeless.

The Sixers will return home on Monday looking to get back on track. A little home cooking should be good for a team that’s 16-2 on their home floor. [lawrence-related id=22667,22659,22650]
