Former Michigan State defensive coordinator Scottie Hazelton has officially landed himself a new coaching position.
Hazelton was officially hired by Wake Forest for the same role as defensive coordinator on Friday. Matt Zenitz of 247Sports reported the notable coaching hire.
In the first year after being let go from Michigan State, Hazelton latched on to Steve Sarkisian’s staff at Texas as a special assistant to the head coach. He was with Mel Tucker for all four seasons before being let go this past year.
