Ed Budde was one of the best Michigan State football players of all-time, being named an All-American in 1962 under head coach Duffy Daugherty. This week, the Spartan legend passed away at 83 years of age.
Budde was drafted No. 4 overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1963 and the No. 8 overall pick by the Chiefs in the AFL draft. He chose the Chiefs and helped them win a Super Bowl.
