Michigan didn’t even get to its shortened 2020 season before it saw attrition from that recruiting class. First, it was defensive end Aaron Lewis, who returned to his native New Jersey, transferring to Rutgers. Now, we know the destination of the other.

The Wolverines got quite a haul in 2020 from Baltimore (MD) St. Frances Academy, the Chesapeake Bay powerhouse high school program, when it reeled in three signees in one recruiting class. While we saw plenty of Blake Corum at running back and some of linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green, the third had announced his intentions to transfer back in September.

Osman Savage was a four-star linebacker and the first of what would be four commits from the high school to commit to Michigan football. OT Micah Mazzccua ended up flipping to Baylor, but Savage actually made it to Ann Arbor for a few months. On Wednesday, he announced his transfer destination, sharing that he has committed to Alabama A&M.

With 2020 being a free year and Savage having also never played a down, he should have four full years of eligibility remaining and a redshirt year.
