Former Michigan defensive end Frank Clark is the only Wolverine to participate in Super Bowl LIV.

While fans of the maize and blue are accustomed to seeing Tom Brady, the longtime New England Patriots QB, at the helm, with that former Wolverine eliminated earlier in the playoffs, it was up to Clark and his Kansas City Chiefs to secure the victory against the San Francisco 49ers — in their first Super Bowl since Jim Harbaugh led them there years ago.

For much of the game, Clark’s name wasn’t mentioned in a positive light, but with the Chiefs up just four, on 4th and 10, the Kansas City defense needed a big play, and Clark was there to make it.

With this sack, Kansas City got the ball back and secured the victory in earnest, with running back Damien Williams rushing for an 38-yard touchdown to put the game out of reach.

It was officially over after former Virginia Tech CB Kendall Fuller — a former Michigan target — intercepted a Jimmy Garoppalo pass.
