Jefferson, a former three-star recruit from St. Rose, La., didn’t play as a freshman in 2017. As a sophomore in 2018, Jefferson became LSU’s leading receiver with 54 receptions, 875 yards and six touchdowns.
It was in 2019 when Jefferson became a star. Jefferson caught a school-record 111 passes for 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns. The combination of Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase gave Heisman-winner Joe Burrow the best group of wide receivers in college football.

Jefferson comes to Minnesota in a good position. The Vikings traded away star receiver Stefon Diggs in the offseason. Jefferson will likely start alongside Minnesota’s other star receiver, Adam Thielen.
Jefferson finished with his three-year LSU career as one of the top receivers in school history.
