Former LSU WR Ja’Marr Chase leads in this category ahead of 2021 NFL Draft

No other wideout has LSU’s Ja’Marr Chase bested in this category ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Former LSU wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is largely considered to be the best at his position in the 2021 NFL Draft, and was a large part of the Tigers’ success on a historical 2019 season.

There are several things we could commend Chase for and multiple categories he finds himself at the top of the list in.

Just one of these is in the area of receptions going for 15 yards or more. According to Pro Football Focus, 48% of Chase’s career catches made that mark.

No player in this year’s draft class has more of those, and it says a lot about Chase’s playmaking ability.

Chase opted out of the 2020 season, so there are no statistics to report there, but he was an essential part of a two-headed snake that consisted of him and current Minnesota Vikings wideout Justin Jefferson in the previous year.

6-foot, 208-pounder accounted for 84 receptions for 1,780 yards with 20 touchdowns in 2019, bringing him to a career total of 107 catches for 2,093 yards with 23 touchdowns.

We’ll all be watching to see where Chase lands on April 29th, but it’s no secret a lot of LSU fans are hoping to see him join ex-Tigers quarterback Joe Burrow and tight end Thaddeus Moss with the Cincinnati Bengals.
